Petizzy

Petizzy is a pet community mobile app for owners who want pets to have their own profiles, instead of only appearing as captions under a human selfie. Owners can create pet profiles, post to a ranked feed, discover other pets, message each other, and stay connected through push notifications.

The product started from a local problem: finding nearby pet owners for breeding and community. That idea became a full social MVP with auth, pet management, co-ownership, likes, comments, moderation, discover search, bookmarks, follows, and direct messages. Bright branding, playful typography, and pet-first UX shape the experience from onboarding onward.

Petizzy was both a passion project and a craft test. The core MVP shipped in eight days using a reusable FastAPI backend foundation and a React Native / Expo client, then continued through privacy docs, store readiness, design polish, and App Store approval. It is live on Google Play and the App Store, with a public write-up of the build process.
