Why I Built ServiceBlocks After Years of Building Software Alone
For a long time, Tomilola.ng was simple: founders talked to me, I scoped the product, I built it, I shipped it.
That model still works. Focused products do not always need a full company around them. Larger ones do.
ServiceBlocks is the software company I am building so founders and businesses can take complete products from idea to launch with a real delivery team. One developer trying to cover product, design, engineering, and project management at once hits a ceiling fast.
The limit of building everything alone
Solo delivery is honest. Clients know who owns the work. Decisions move quickly. There is nowhere to hide if something is late.
It also has a hard limit.
Larger products need concurrent work: product and interface decisions, frontend and backend ownership, QA, deployment, and a clear handoff. When all of that sits on one person, the calendar becomes the bottleneck, even when the technical work is solid.
I kept seeing the same pattern. Founders needed someone accountable for getting a defined product into production, not another freelancer who could only own a slice of it.
Why a proper team helps larger products
ServiceBlocks exists to close the gap between briefing a designer, waiting on engineering, bringing a specialist in late, and hoping somebody owns the release.
The operating idea is simple:
- understand the problem
- define a credible phase
- assign ownership
- build visibly
- test properly
- hand over cleanly
If a project is too large for a responsible first phase, the work gets reduced before the build starts. That is how products actually ship.
What ServiceBlocks helps clients build
From the company positioning, ServiceBlocks covers:
- mobile app development
- SaaS and web app development
- AI solutions and WhatsApp systems
- backend and API development
- website development
The longer menu is less important than having one accountable team across the parts founders usually split between vendors.
How I stay involved
I remain involved as director and technical lead: company direction, architecture, delivery accountability, and escalation when something threatens the outcome.
ServiceBlocks keeps me in the work while the product stops depending on one person's bandwidth.
What this means for startup founders and business owners
If you need a focused build and want to work with me directly, Tomilola.ng is still the right front door.
If the product needs design, engineering, delivery ownership, and a cleaner path to launch than one developer can carry alone, look at ServiceBlocks.
That bridge page explains the relationship. The full company site lives at serviceblocks.biz.

Where to go next
I started ServiceBlocks because some products deserve a team that can finish them properly. Freelancing still works; the bigger builds needed a different shape.
